Danielle Johnson is a dynamic and visionary education executive with over 20 years of experience advancing academic achievement, instructional innovation, and equity in urban education systems. With a passion for excellence and a commitment to student success, she has led large-scale initiatives in assessment, literacy, school leadership development, and policy implementation.
In her current role as a senior district leader, she oversees assessment policy, development, administration, accommodations, and compliance across more than 110 schools. Her work ensures equitable access to high-quality assessments and upholds data integrity at the district level. She has also provided technical assistance and professional development for hundreds of schools, designing and implementing research-based, data-driven English Language Arts (ELA) supports tailored to diverse learner populations, including English learners and students with disabilities.
A recognized expert in curriculum innovation, Danielle has led the design of comprehensive ELA curricula, directed reading intervention programs, and contributed to the development of standardized assessments used at the local and regional levels. She has successfully supported initiatives in phonological and orthographic processing, language comprehension, and advanced instruction in reading and writing for general and honors-level students.
Danielle holds a Bachelor's Degree in Urban Arts Productions with a concentration in Arts Education, a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership with a focus on Educational Leadership and School Turnaround, and an Executive Graduate Certificate in Leading Schools for Change. She is certified in Middle School English and School Leadership and holds a PreK–12 Administrative Services License.
